The 85048 set is my first purchased and assembled set from Pantasy. I am positively surprised at how fantastic this radio was built. The instructions are clearly written, the blocks are solidly made, they easily combine into a whole, matching each other very well. As a 52-year-old fan of bricks, I had a great time building this set. Something in my soul tells me that if I "try" modulars, it will be great fun
This was a great set that really captured the feel of a Bavarian Tavern! I lived in Bavaria for 3 years and this must have set really made me remember all the good times I had. If you like modular sets, you have to get this one!
Pantasy’s Cuckoo Clock is a redesigned classic brought back with more intention, polish, and classic Pantasy design we’ve come to love. From the beautiful wood‑plank textures to the botanical flourishes, the reinforced hanging structure to the traditional German cuckoo clock motifs, every detail builds on the last until it's a fully built masterpiece. Then the build got a bit… Cuckoo - even with all its charm, this clock had a few moments that tested my patience — not deal‑breakers, but definitely “pause, breathe, try again” moments. There are grey double technic pins that were stubborn. Getting them set correctly was met with difficulty to the point where the pieces squeaked as they were put together. There are clear bricks for the moving dancer dial - a crucial visual for the set, but the visual guidance could use a clearer top‑down diagram. With studs facing outward, it’s tricky to tell exactly where the dancers should sit on the ring causing me to place them on the exterior row vs the interior row and not allowing the mechanism to turn. I am thankful I didn't break any of the dancers during the process. For the cuckoo bird hinge door placement I think a flat, top‑down image would have saved a lot of unbuilding and rebuilding on my end. The 1×2 hinge orientation is easy to misread from the provided angles. While speaking about the cuckoo bird door hinge…unfortunately this was easily my least favorite part of the build. It’s delicate, finicky, and prone to falling apart both during assembly and later troubleshooting when the bird wasn’t gliding smoothly. I was surprised by this as we usually see better brick clutch power by Pantasy sets - so this felt like an anomaly. As I approached the end of the build, I was disappointed to see gapping in the roof design. The gapping was noticeable at the front of the display, the top point where the roof halves meet, and around the left‑side window attachment. Not catastrophic, but definitely distracting on such a beautiful display piece. Final Thoughts — The Pantasy Cuckoo Clock was a joy to build alongside their 6 year anniversary month event. Even with a few wobbly notes the set is a heartfelt redesign that showcases how far the company has come. Yes, a few instruction quirks and structural hiccups made parts of the journey a bit chaotic but the finished build is undeniably charming and full of personality.

Delivery was surprisingly fast with neat packaging. I just completed the build and I’m very impressed by the quality of the bricks. Everything looks so sleek and beautiful. Truly worth it

I’m really impressed with the quality of the materials and how easy the build is overall. It’s a great set. That said, there are a few areas where the instructions could be improved. Some of the printed details are quite hard to read, and a few steps can be confusing because similar components are easy to mix up — for example, the “2x” in step 102 caused me to backtrack several steps to fix the mistake. There are also minor issues like the block count showing “16x” when only four pieces are actually needed, which seems to be a printing error. Small things like this can affect the otherwise excellent work your development team has put in. Overall, though, I still think it’s a very good product and great value for money.

I enjoyed the unique of the build. Enjoyed the challenge mostly. Was few spots where I thought they were a little too hard but over all I really enjoyed the build. For the price this is a no brainer. This was my first pantasy build but Believe me I will be buying more especially the modular ones and retro ones. 10/10 you will not be disappointed.
One of the best Sets I have built lately! Very inspiring build. The quality of the Set is amazing! One wish: Please redesign the connector bricks for electricity transport. Sometimes the bricks stay together when you wanna disassemble the Set.
This was my first building from Pantasy! It's fantastic. The quality of the bricks, the instructions, the light is amazing! The building has so many details... I also build the Architecture Firm and the Dinosaur Museum! Please keep your quality and fantasy!
I absolutely loved putting this Pantasy Gumball Machine together! The gold accent bricks are such a fun touch and really makes the whole build stand out. I especially love the little peekaboo toy store that fits inside, it's such a cute idea! I'm actually using mine as part of my Pokémon Kiss redeem game on stream, which makes it even more fun and useful. It's a fantastic build, and I had such a great time putting it together!

Great build! Little finicky in a couple of spots. Thought it could look a little more finished on the back of the lamp post. Also, needs a battery switch. Not electric. Has to be plugged in for the light to work. It's a nice addition to my collection.
It was a fun build! Had a bit of trouble getting the larger internal lens in correctly so that the top would pop up, but I finally realized what I was doing wrong. Got it figured out and it works great now!
Highly recommend this set. Super fun build and I love all the functions like the working station dial, opening cassette door with a cassette. Details are top notch from all the chrome, all the switches and dials on top and even a battery case in the back with batteries. As soon as I’m done with this review I’m going shopping for my next Pamtasy set!

This was great. I was heartens to buy a non “Lego” brick set but I was throughly impresses. The directions were spot on with very few complicated steps.
This was a great build from start to finish! Solid and bricks stay together when I moved it, even when I had to turn it upside down! This set has me wanting to add more to my new retro collection and I highly recommend this set!!

The creativity and execution in this set raise the bar entirely, marking a definitive turning point for the brand. The Design & Concept Unlike other modular buildings that try to cram too many conflicting concepts into a single footprint, the Bavarian Tavern focuses heavily and beautifully on its EDI (historical/thematic) theme. The proportions, the timber-framed styling, and the sheer density of detail turn it into pure display art. First Floor (The Tavern): Incredibly welcoming. The street-side pretzel window, the exterior clock, and the cozy interior tables perfectly capture the vibe of old Europe. Second Floor (The Lounge): A cozy, relaxed space featuring a beautiful cello setup. Third Floor (The Stone Kitchen): Absolute magic. For anyone who loves cooking, this floor inspires pure calm. It features an incredibly well-equipped kitchen with a stone oven, fresh baguettes, and a hidden detail—buns baking inside the oven that you will never see again once the roof goes on. A beautiful secret shared only between the set and the builder! The Building Experience & Technical Upgrades The layout is split into 16 bags, with each taking about 45 minutes to an hour. I highly recommend taking your time and intentionally slowing down to enjoy the process—the design language is absolutely worth savoring. Pantasy has also massively upgraded their electrical installation with this set. The cable management is much cleaner and significantly better hidden than in previous releases. 💡 Important Tips for Future Builders: Power Source: The upgraded lighting runs on a USB connection, but it requires a low-current power source (like a standard laptop port or an old 5V phone charging block). It will not work if you try to plug it into a modern, high-wattage USB-C fast charger. Build Patience: Stacking the white bricks for the upper walls can be slightly tiring for your eyes halfway through, and the third-floor wiring requires a bit of patience to align perfectly, but the final illuminated payoff is 100% worth the effort. Final Verdict & A Quick Note to Pantasy If you want a building experience that feels premium, realistic, fresh, and completely unique, the Bavarian Tavern is an absolute must-have. Kudos to the designer for delivering one of the best alternative brick sets on the market today! One minor note for the brand: I really wish the instruction manual included the designer’s credits and background story this time around. Pantasy did this beautifully with the School of Arts manual, and it added a wonderful premium touch to the experience. I truly hope you bring that feature back for future sets!
Loved it! Easy build and fun! I gave it a 4 because of 2 things. Has to be plugged in for the light to shine. I would prefer a battery box. 2nd item is the light. It barely is connected by one little lego. It kept falling off. Needs to ve better attached .
I’ve recently just got back into building sets, primarily the big brand and I came across this set. I’m a homebrewer and work part time at a brewery and I knew I had to have it. This was my first Pantasy set and also my first modular building set and after finishing this it won’t be my last for either! The quality of the pieces are just as good as the big brand and the build experience was just as enjoyable. I loved seeing the structure evolve bag after bag and the moving parts of the build are fantastic! Seeing the brewing equipment, bottling and kegging lines all move is awesome and I love the acrylic printed signage plus no stickers! No missing pieces in the box, the only thing I’d love to see is some lighting but the even without it the set itself is awesome. 10/10 would recommend to any building set or craft beer fan. Can’t wait for my next Pantasy build!

Only four stars because of the stickers, a little bit touchy to put on nicely, and the interior, not as detailed as i would like have (maybe a sticker on the TV should be great), so four stars and a half for me. If you’ve ever wanted to bottle the glow of a lantern hanging outside a fantasy tavern, Pantasy’s Retro Kerosene Lamp gets you delightfully close. Under 400 pieces, this build is well designed, a wonderful surprise, and crowned with a warm flickering glow that genuinely surprised me with how magical it is. The bronzed bricks themselves are stunning. The box images give it the look of a flat brown, but don’t let that fool you; in person the metallic matte bronze is rich, dimensional, and absolutely gorgeous. They are a bit stiffer than Pantasy’s usual bricks — the stud connection has a firmer bite — but once everything is locked in, the lamp is solid enough to withstand curious cats or epic adventures. A couple build notes for fellow brick‑builders: Step 38 could use a little clarity. The light stud bricks get tucked into the flame structure, but the instructions don’t make that super obvious. Splitting it into two steps would help builders see exactly where the light-up bricks nestle in. Step 44 has two double‑studded 1 by 1 bricks that appear in the parts list but not clearly in the image. They do get added — the instructions just don’t show it well. And now, the part I was nervous about: the clear pieces. After building Pantasy’s Retro Gumball Machine, I was braced for scuffs and scratches. But Pantasy absolutely leveled up here. Each of the eight clear blades that form the lamp’s bulb came individually packed to the point where the package of 8 felt like a pillow, and every single one came out pristine. No fogging, no scratches, just crystal clarity. The final build is a warm, flickering, bronzed beauty. Cozy, nostalgic, and absolutely collection‑worthy. I can't wait to hang it up in my office!

The Pantasy Spring Flower Bicycle is such a treat. The mint green frame has that perfect vintage vibe, and the little picnic setup is ridiculously cute. The fluffy dog — who the community has now decided is named Rupert — totally steals the show. Now that I’m getting more comfortable with technic and know what to look out for, this build felt smooth and really enjoyable. It’s a great option if you want to dip into technic without diving straight into the deep end. The instructions were super clear, everything connected nicely, and the whole build felt really well thought out. The only snag I hit was right at the end: getting both wheels to connect to the gear mechanism so they spin from the handlebars. One wheel catches perfectly, the other… not quite. It’s minor, but worth mentioning. The flower pieces are fantastic — high quality, great variety, and they add so much charm. And the color palette? Pure spring. Soft, fresh, and just happy. Overall, it’s a lovely little build with tons of personality. Rupert approves.
The Pantasy Gift Store is exactly the kind of build that makes you smile the entire way through. It’s well-designed, colorful, and full of that signature Pantasy touch that turns a modular into a tiny world you want to live in. The downstairs shop is adorable, packed with personality and clever details, and the upstairs gift‑wrapping area feels like a cozy crafting workspace that I wish I had at home. And then there's the "oh my goodness" movement pieces. Pantasy really said “let’s make this set magical.” The Ferris wheel, the carousel, and the mischievous cat popping out of the box are pure joy and make the set really stand out! They’re delightful to watch, delightful to build, and they give the whole set a kinetic charm that makes it feel alive on your shelf. The instructions overall are wonderfully clear, making this a great modular even for first‑time builders. Pantasy continues to shine with their thoughtful layouts and printed pieces (no stickers, bless them), and the build experience is engaging without ever feeling overwhelming. With all that being said - even the best sets have a few little quirks worth mentioning: Ferris Wheel Instructions (Step 344): The illustration jumps from showing individual components to suddenly presenting the fully built wheel. It’s a bit of a “wait… did I miss something?” moment. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely a hiccup in the otherwise smooth flow. Ferris Wheel Pin (Step 350): This one is tough. The pin requires a surprising amount of force and precision, and honestly, it’s a little painful to get into place. Builders might find this step frustrating. Bag 10 Roof Placement: The large rooftop piece is gorgeous, but the instruction illustration doesn’t quite capture the exact alignment. I had to pop it off and reposition it a few times before it finally clicked into the right spot. Even with those tiny bumps, the Pantasy Gift Store is a standout modular—thoughtful, whimsical, beautifully designed, and full of show-stopping movement. 10/10 set for your collection or to give as a gift!

It was my first ever pantasy set I really enjoyed the building technique. I also enjoyed how the parts were all printed and no stickers which was a big relief. It’s made me want to buy the Garfield washing machine from the Garfield fantastic machines series available on your website
Easy build and very fun
I can see why it is sold out! I bought mine off Amazon and it was a fun build! It close to the same size as my Singer Featherweight. I have them sitting side by side on a shelf in my Brick room.
