The Pantasy Bavarian Tavern is a cozy old‑world dream in brick form. I just finished building the Pantasy Bavarian Tavern, and wow… this set is a full three‑story love letter to old‑world architecture. Pantasy really leaned into unique techniques here—slanted roof construction, diagonal brick styling, and clever shaping that gives the whole tavern that charming Bavarian feel. It’s one of those builds where you can feel the care in the design. But let’s talk through the full experience, because this set had some truly magical highs and a few little quirks worth noting. Things that I loved: The architecture & roof design - the roofing on this set is masterful. The woven roof pattern—both on the main roof and the tiny window roofs—is gorgeous. The pointed roof that still opens? Pantasy absolutely nailed it. Several brands struggle with this (Pantasy included in the past), so seeing it done beautifully here was such a win. The slanted and diagonal brick techniques give the tavern that perfect old‑world charm. The wire management saw a huge improvement! Pantasy has seriously leveled up their wire management. The wires are color‑coded from the very beginning, shown in the piece list and throughout the diagrams. Most of the routing is clean, intuitive, and hidden so well that the final build looks seamless. This is a massive improvement from other brands and even Pantasy’s earlier sets. The Interior – especially the kitchen - The kitchen stole my heart. Tiny bread and pretzel pieces, a sweet little oven, a mixing table complete with mixer. There were eggs, utensils, and a perfectly designed light fixture. It’s cozy, detailed, and full of personality. Easily my favorite part of the interior. Some of the not so greats: I had an open bag in the box. The box was completely in tact - no damage, not opened, nothing like that - just an open bag - loose pieces in the box. At steps 198–199 the wire channel is a great idea, but the wire still gets crushed between the dark brown and beige pieces. I ended up routing it behind the brown pillar to avoid smooshing it. The instructions didn’t show an alternative, so this felt like a necessary workaround. Steps 225–233: The Finnicky Piece - this section was an oof. The two hinge/connector bits were extremely tough to seat. The force needed actually warped the brick a bit. And even once assembled, the collection of pieces falls apart whenever I touch it—especially when covering wires. Definitely the most fragile and my least favorite part of the build. I have a bit of a pet peeve - loose pieces - decorative pieces that are not "studded" into place. I have cats, I have cats that like to run away with pieces. Loose pieces are not my friend - are they adorable - yes. Rolling away at every opportunity. At step 937 I was missing the 1×8 channel brick. Thankfully I have a regular 1×8 to replace it, sadly not in the correct color but I couldn't progress without it. Despite a few hiccups, the Pantasy Bavarian Tavern is a stunning, thoughtful, joy‑filled build. The old‑world styling, the clever roof engineering, the improved wire management, and the cozy interior details make this set feel truly special. Pantasy continues to grow, experiment, and refine—and this tavern is a beautiful example of their creativity and craftsmanship. It’s charming, it’s ambitious, and it looks absolutely magical on display. If you love modulars with character, warmth, and clever design, this one’s a treasure.

As someone who deeply appreciates architectural brick sets, Pantasy’s Bavarian Tavern has completely blown me away. This is not just a toy; it is a genuine European miniature and a true display masterpiece. The creativity and execution in this set raise the bar entirely, marking a definitive turning point for the brand. The Design & Concept Unlike other modular buildings that try to cram too many conflicting concepts into a single footprint, the Bavarian Tavern focuses heavily and beautifully on its EDI (historical/thematic) theme. The proportions, the timber-framed styling, and the sheer density of detail turn it into pure display art. First Floor (The Tavern): Incredibly welcoming. The street-side pretzel window, the exterior clock, and the cozy interior tables perfectly capture the vibe of old Europe. Second Floor (The Lounge): A cozy, relaxed space featuring a beautiful cello setup. Third Floor (The Stone Kitchen): Absolute magic. For anyone who loves cooking, this floor inspires pure calm. It features an incredibly well-equipped kitchen with a stone oven, fresh baguettes, and a hidden detail—buns baking inside the oven that you will never see again once the roof goes on. A beautiful secret shared only between the set and the builder! The Building Experience & Technical Upgrades The layout is split into 16 bags, with each taking about 45 minutes to an hour. I highly recommend taking your time and intentionally slowing down to enjoy the process—the design language is absolutely worth savoring. Pantasy has also massively upgraded their electrical installation with this set. The cable management is much cleaner and significantly better hidden than in previous releases. 💡 Important Tips for Future Builders: Power Source: The upgraded lighting runs on a USB connection, but it requires a low-current power source (like a standard laptop port or an old 5V phone charging block). It will not work if you try to plug it into a modern, high-wattage USB-C fast charger. Build Patience: Stacking the white bricks for the upper walls can be slightly tiring for your eyes halfway through, and the third-floor wiring requires a bit of patience to align perfectly, but the final illuminated payoff is 100% worth the effort. Final Verdict & A Quick Note to Pantasy If you want a building experience that feels premium, realistic, fresh, and completely unique, the Bavarian Tavern is an absolute must-have. Kudos to the designer for delivering one of the best alternative brick sets on the market today! One minor note for the brand: I really wish the instruction manual included the designer’s credits and background story this time around. Pantasy did this beautifully with the School of Arts manual, and it added a wonderful premium touch to the experience. I truly hope you bring that feature back for future sets!
